A staple at English weddings, Berry Brothers and Rudd's Good Ordinary Claret is always a crowd pleaser. Fruity with soft tannins, it's a guzzler. At my sister's wedding a 6L version was served alongside the cheese. Pictured here the groom is wielding both this oversized bottle and the sword, from 1855 by Wilkinson, used to cut the cake.

Oct 28th, 2018I was thrilled to head back to England this weekend for a wonderful wedding. At the reception we enjoyed Good Ordinary Claret from Berry Brothers. A perennial classic, thee 2015 has juicy tannins, vibrant fruit and attractive leather qualities. A good choice, and rather fun to be served in magnums.
