Bernardus Winery
Estate Grown & Bottled Ingrid's Vineyard Chardonnay
Golden and delicious. Slight oak, butter and bananas. Found on bottom of my closet. Expected the worst.

Feb 7th, 2014Can Bernardus be called a hidden gem on Monterey? You certainly don’t see much of it on the east coast. This is a beautiful Chardonnay, oaky and rich with the perfect amount of acidity to keep it from feeling too heavy. Lemon curd and peach dominate the fruit followed by a pleasant bitterness. The finish is long and silky with a lingering spice. A perfect food wine.
