Big, soft, ripe and full on black currant, creamy vanilla oak influence, very plush. In the mouth there is a similar character with rich but not over bearing blackcurrant & plum fruit, soft tannins and a ripe cassis finish

Way better than I was expecting for 25 bones. Flat black fruit, zero tannins, little olive/balsamic tapenade. Zero nose or would have rated higher. Nice to be pleasantly surprised by a cheap wine!

A little bottle age won't make a bad wine good, but it might make it suck less.

Well balanced complex bouquet of dark fruit, sweetness, oak, and mineral. Taste reflects the same structure. Layers of flavor open up in the mouth. No single flavor is overpowering but mixes well to create a solid round wine. Nice aftertaste. You can easily taste ripe fruit, with a touch of tannins and smoky oak.

Not to sweet, big bold and hey, it's a Beringer for $50! Can you go wrong?
