Beringer Vineyards
Luminus Oak Knoll District Chardonnay

Gorgeous, supple and elegant. Pears and dry apricot. Just utterly delicious. A great wine by the glass from Porto, a snazzy new seafood restaurant in Boston.

Notes of pear and apple with lemon and oak. Nice acidity. Not buttery as no malolactic fermentation.

Pears, melon, and a little white peach, with light oak, a little butter, and moderate soft acidity. Nothing jumps out front with this wine and it’s very well balanced. It was good with a roasted salmon dinner.

Citrus, pear, lime, sea breeze intertwined with tropical fruits make a very attractive and refreshing nose. Textured and polished yet light on its feet. Oak is noticeable but very restrained. Another honest, good effort by Beringer.

Rich in qualities that I enjoy in a Chardonnay. Melon and grapefruit rest on a foundation of toasted butter on the nose. The wine is well rounded as it rests into the palate with beautiful balance and floral/spice notes.
