Bergevin Lane
She-Devil Syrah
Smells of cranberry scone
Lighter than previous vintages, baking spices, skin tannin mid palette, painting the way for blackberry jam, without the sugar. Acid and tannin are mellow and together, the oak gives off a Lot of vanillin. Easy quaffer.
And from the label, this winery loves their play with fonts!

Dusty cellar fruit on the nose -
This wears away with dark fruits - unsweetened blackberry jam, currant, kirsch, skin tannin, very subtle acidity and heaps of tabaco and CBD oil on the end.
WA for the win. Every time.

Medium ruby; medium plus intensity aromas of blackberry, red and black plum, pomegranate, underbrush, cedar, baking spices; dry, medium plus acid, medium smooth tannins, high alcohol, full body, medium plus intensity flavors consistent with aromas; medium plus finish; much richer, concentrated, and well balanced than I was expecting, delightful

1 person found it helpfulApr 12th, 2021Intense dark fruit and a creamy mousse on the nose, with a tart, impertinent black cherry on the palate. Bone dry. A bit too tart to be balanced. Oddly enough, the pairing with lamb wasn't ideal, but the combination of the wine with dark chocolate espresso beans was remarkable.
