Nose of currant, violet, and some subtle coffee bean and vanilla notes.
Fairy concentrated currant and blackberry flavors with some course, big tannins and flavors of bitter chocolate. A touch of oak sweetness on the end. Flavors seem a bit muddled at this point.
Still quite youthful even with a couple hours decanting. The components are there to age gracefully though.
