This is a big Pinot. The nose is burnt cherry. Big cherry and cranberry start in the mouth moving to chewy tart fruit and oak. The burnt notes linger with a moderate acid finish. Much more a Napa approach than Burgundian. It absolutely overpowered the havarti cheese I snacked on while drinking it. You may love this or not, depending on your expectation of the style.

Feb 19th, 2018I stuck my nose in this one and it smelled like Christmas time. After a couple more whiffs, I parsed out lingonberry jam, clove cigarettes and Vanilla Coke. Grilled sirloin steak is added on the palate - much needed to balance out the sweetness of the dark fruit jam. I am also getting caramel notes, mostly on the finish. I want to live in this wine.

Mar 21st, 2017Great nose that is dark with elements of dark cherry and smoke. Flavor is very fruit forward. Not watered down or flabby like some Pinot Noir can be. Tastes like cherries. Very tasty and vibrant.
