Benoît Lahaye
Brut Nature Grand Cru Champagne Blend
Comes out of the gates with juicy and ripe green pear, ripe citrus, currant and rose petal. There’s some aldehyde lurking about, salted-ham and more oxidized notes of cider with air. Some richness held back by its bright acid. 90 PN 10 CH, 30 months on lees, 11/2019 disgorgement, no filtration or SO2

Jun 19th, 2020I don’t have a list in front of me but could swear Bouzy is GC for Pinot Noir...this thing sings 🍏 and I would never expect it was all red fruit. Insane racy acidity, zero dosage. Can you be both crazy complex and super straightforward at the same time? In the grand scheme of things this is great wine but I need 5 years. Probably just disgorged
