Well aware that we were committing infanticide but retail pricing let us rationalize. Big whiff of high quality oak could not hide beautiful orchard fruit and scents of lemon. In the mouth oak dominated but similar to the nose it could not suppress the purity of the fruit. My score reflects today. In a dozen years if things go as planned this will rate much higher.

One of the premier young wine makers in Burgundy, a bit of a quiet nose but rich and almost oily on the palate with lots of weight. Minerals, exotic citrus and hints of whipped cream and smoke.
