Beni di Batasiolo
Dolcetto d'Alba
Alba, Cuneo, Piedmont, Italy

Dark ruby color. Black fruit aroma. Light to medium mouthfeel. Medium acidity. Flavors of black cherry, cedar and beet. Fine tannin leads to a nice finish of brown spice.

Not my favorite in our side-by-side comparison of a Freisa, Grignolino, and Ruche, but an admirable effort none the less. Would probably glug more with a paired dish.

Batasiolo Wine Dinner / Pour #3
Negligible acidity but beautiful bright red fruit and succulent floral notes.
