Not sure what to say about this one. I’m a huge fan of Beni di Batasiolo and picked this bottle and a bunch of different options when visiting the winery last September. The other bottles they had were young but opened up after a couple hours. This 2010 Brunate was dense with leathery tannins from opening and remained for a couple days. The dark cherry aroma could be detected across the room and could be tasted along with some fig and earth within a few hours, but the tannins were a bit overwhelming for the 3 days. Going to wait for some dust to collect on the other bottles of this.

Replanted vineyard for Batasiolo 2.8 acres in Brunate. 2008 vintage new package La Morra highest elevation in Barolo. 1,000 case made 15% alcohol Dried plum, tar, fennel, raspy tannins...elegant with agnolotti del plin.

Barolo we got Mom & Dad from Italy. 2010. Good, full bodied. Phil liked it as well.

HWT - $58, nice and smooth, a bit berry and slightly earthy, held up to slightly spicy foods.
