Benhaim
Grande Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
It's Friday and I'm ready for my Cabernet fix. This time it's an Israeli one.
A pretty ruby/ red in color with a wide brick/ orange rim.
On the nose cherries, strawberries, red currants, blueberries, vegetables, wood, vanilla, cloves, leather, bell pepper, licorice, eucalyptus, earth and black pepper.
Medium bodied and soft with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, blueberries, currants, raspberries, earth, green vegetables, pencil lead, forest floor, tobacco, herbs, spices and black pepper.
Long finish with soft tannins and tangy pomegranates.
This is a nice Cabernet from Israel. Showing nice complexity and a soft mouthfeel. This new world Cabernet has an old-world feel, with lots of vegetable and earth notes, both on the palate and the nose.
This is a Cabernet Sauvignon for the Pinot Noir lover. Gentle and interesting.
Good by itself and better with food right now. Needs 2 hours to open up properly, so take your time as it is worth waiting for.
Needs a couple of years in the bottle to mature. This is a good candidate for another 5 to 7 years of aging.
A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petite Sirah. Aged for 30 months in Oak barrels.
Kosher for passover.
13.4% alcohol by volume.
88 points.

16/20 (89/100)
Сладковатый, ванильно-сдобный первый нос, сухие черные ягоды, табак, минеральность. Вкус очень ягодный, выраженная кислотность, прекрасно оформленные танины. Красивое, очень молодое вино.
