It's been a while since u had a wine as disappointing as this. It wasn't expensive but was divergent in a couple ways and then failed in all of them. Not enough body for full flavored over extracted wine, not enough acidity to cut through and carry it on to elegance, just enough oak to be present and annoying, and the fruit character was overripe in a way that was sickly sweet in character without the sweetness. Not necessarily flaws like corked but I seriously suspect this wine was improperly stored or transported.
If this was a concert it would be linkin park with Adele singing, Dave mustaine on guitar with someone playing harpsichord doing a set of jazz and folk music. None of it is necessarily bad on its own but why would you throw it all together?
In all seriousness though I seriously consider this particular bottle to be improperly stored or transported. I feel sorry for the winemakers if it is not.
