BY this point it is well documented how much I love and appreciate old vine Zinfandel. From the history to the wine it’s all great. I rarely try to evaluate Zinfandel because it is one of the few wines I just, well drink. This is a lovely example of just that! Go California. Long live Zinfandel !!!

Elegant boysenberry with a hint of baking spice and black pepper. Zingy acid and a touch of sweetness. Medium tannin, well integrated, leaving a slightly bitter finish. A stealthy panther of a wine.

2013. Deep Ruby coloration. On the nose, strong black cherry, strawberry, spice and tobacco. On the palate, cherry, with an oaky, vanilla finish. Strong tannins.
