The 22 Compagni Portis white blend from Bedrock is a departure from previous years as a large block of Riesling was added to the blend. The result is a much more austere wine versus previously Gewurtztraminer led bottlings. Crisp apple, lemon pith, some underlying melon, and a ph north of 3 make a solid food wine, but not the more joyful Compagni Portis’ of years past.

Clear medium straw yellow color. Nose of floral, apple, lemon, and stone. Super crisp palate filled with lemon, lemon, and more lemon. Lemon meringue, lemon zest, Meyer lemon, grapefruit, green melon, and very forward sweet floral citrus zest. There is also a mild oily consistency and mouth feel. This is a great unique wine. I wish I had more. Way to go Morgan !

Floral but not flabby, good acid. Doesn't say the grape blend but smells like Viognier or Gewürztraminer.
