Table wine at a Gala in support of The University of Texas Health Science Center. This wine was a complete shocker wasn't expecting much. Total blackout in the glass, very dark. Nose warrants a second sniff flashing coco dusted figs, tar and sidewalk chalk. Mouth coating on the sip showing the Malbec and Petit Verdot in good balance. Full bodied, candied fig, dirt road and trace elements of tobacco and oaked vanilla. Finish is soft and smooth with a dash of spice and game.

Great meat and cheese wine. Dark berry forward, and sweet tobacco and slight leather rolling off the pallet on the tail end.
