Yeah! Way more refined and elegant than I initially expected, but plenty going on. Exceptional with roast beef. Really good!

Packed full of blackberries, tar, tobacco and then cloves on the finish. This wine certainly benefitted from a bit of age. It was enjoyable with a steak from a go-to French-American restaurant in the Village but its Bordeaux namesake would have been preferred.

Dark, intense. Smells like cotton candy with hidden aromas of dark plum and black berry balanced by late spring flowers, pepper, cloves and vanilla. There is a hint of tannin, however this wine delivers more nuances leaving you completely satisfied and content.

Smells a little like cotton candy and exhibits notes of cedar, clove, prune, cherry, red rose, eucalyptus with perceivable mint-traits. In another dimension this may be a cousin of Heitz's Martha's Vineyard. Awesome to have with bbq'd steak, garlic bread and knowing this is the only winery for this AVA ( just 20 miles south of where I got to imbibe this 400 case production of local goodness. )
