Medium ruby with amber rim. Aromas of cherry, cranberry, vanilla, and oak spice. Medium bodied on the palate with red fruit, fine grained tannins, and 14.7% alcohol which leads to a finish that is a bit hot.

Wonderful notes of bright cherries and sublime oak notes, muted flowers and a sinewed leathery note. Wow at 12.3%. Completely American but fully French!

BV wine dinner at The Tasting Room with winemaker Trevor Durling.
.
Second Course: Seared scallop, pickled fennel, pistachio gremolata, and blood orange.
.
Paired with this 2007 Reserve PN that had loads of life left in it with dusty cherries, worn leather, pipe tobacco, and clove.

Gift from my sister. Well-balanced acid and mellow tannins. Round mouthfeel with red fruit and distinctive grape flavor. Normally I don't like pinot noir but this is outstanding. A++ would drink again.
