Early, but I could see it as a sleeping giant.

Sipping Fine Wine

In 1900, Georges de Latour's wife, Fernande, first saw their original Rutherford vineyard, she named it "beau lieu," or "beautiful place." Blend of 94% Cab Sauvignon and 6% Petit Verdot, and aged in 94% new French oak, dark and enticing, with complex berry flavors and sweet spice, noting some floral scents. On the palate, cherry and blackberry flavors with cacao notes and spices on firm yet approachable tannins. Lingering finish with toasty oak notes ending with mineral tones. Very nice but needs more time!

Bright with hints of fruit compliments an oxtail in a red wine/chocolate stout reduction with a woodland mirepoix perfectly.

Still in its youth with more development ahead, although stylistically more fruit driven than yesteryear allowed. Slight undertones of the dust and tannin that played long til harmonious and many yearn for

Harsh in the beginning, let it air for 20 min. 2011 is my least favorte vintage.
