Deep inky Zin. Extracted dark fruit. Could not taste the >15.5% alcohol whatsoever with h a 30 minute decant. Raisins and a huge black pepper note. Very nice

This full-bodied Zinfandel is grown from vines planted in 1968 near Saint Helena. It is a robust Zinfandel with a predominantly berry flavor. The texture changes as it moves through the palette. Boysenberry and currant predominate; black cherry and pepper come in a little later. We like it.

Zinfandel from BV Tanch No 11 in St. Helena - Northern Napa Valley- sandy vineyard - vines planted 1968 - boysenberry, black cherry, currant, spiced with crushed pepper, espresso, black licorice. Ripe Juicy Berries with long finish. Aged ten months in oak adds caramel nuances.
