Maestro Collection Ranch No. 1 Rutherford Red Blend
Opened this at Go's house for Gary's birthday 2021. Wine showed well balanced notes of current on most, tennis finely end test with cherry. Showed well.

Jun 27th, 2021A classic BV dominated by Rutherford Cabernet with blends of merlot and petit Verdot that smooths and softens. Good berry taste but subtle.

Apr 13th, 2020The insight that breathing this wine is a must was respected and the difference in my initial sip to 30 minutes later was validation of the recommendation!
Cherry and mildly dry. 2013 vintage

2015 Vintage. Opened too soon very tight and tannic. Didn’t taste any fruit. Potential is there will open another bottle in a few years at least.

Nov 3rd, 2018A rich, smooth red blend. Very easy to drink.

Jun 21st, 2017An homage to the "Maestro" André Tchelistcheff, the wine is made from Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a bit of Merlot and Petit Verdot sourced from their original vineyard in Rutherford acquired in 1900. Although fleshy and round with generous French oak influence, it's not without subtlety. I love BV's classic take on Napa Cabernet.

Apr 23rd, 2017This Cabernet is blended with Merlot and Petite Verdot. It pairs better with food than alone, where it seems to have a strong middle of Malbec. The oak is nice but for retail price of $75, you can do better. We paid $61.78 with our club discounts. Even with the discount, it's still overpriced.
