2009. 70% Cab, 30% Cab Franc. Nose is still kind of closed after an hour of being open, but showing promise. Sour cherry, purple fruit, and a distinct minerality on the nose. Very smooth and supple on the palate with soft fruit and a good bit of oak and vanilla. Nice acidity rounds out the mouth with a touch of red candy and flower pedals. More elegance and less power than I was expecting, but that's not a bad thing!

Wish I bought more back when I got this bottle. I would guess this still has a few more years of peak condition in front of it.

Big, full-bodied Cab. Ripe fruit and spice on the nose but nothing fruity about it on the palate. Not a casual sipping wine, probably best with a hearty meal, aged cheese, or, as I had it, with a piece of high quality dark chocolate. :-)
