Under appreciated (outside Friuli) this varietal makes gorgeous wines: med bodied & very expressive/complex showing blue/black ripe fruit accented w/white pepper, fig paste, licorice & hint of camphor. Later some prune & plum. Very suave tannins and after some volatile acidity, it smoothed out after an hour or so. Solid rendition
