I love Bastianich wines and needed to revisit the chard. It's how I remember it. Nose is granny smith and white flowers. Lemon peel, pineapple, some minerality. A great food wine.

We were looking for something from Northern Italy to go with chestnut risotto and the fine folks at Eataly steered us down Bastianich way. It paired perfectly, the wafts of honeycomb a prelude to buttered toast and some sour fruit (apparently quince but I’ve never actually tasted one). A real bargain.
