Transparent red. Nose: distinct cherry, light spice and fragrant wood. Taste: surprisingly decent. Anonymous, light, fruity, a nice acidity but not too bright - more supple - a little sweet citrus, like orange. Simple and pleasing. 88.

Grenache but close enough. Light cherry orange and leathery flavors. Light tannins but chewy on finish. A decent supermarket red, can’t argue with the price, on point for varietal but just ok.

Artsy critter label with a two horned African grazer animal under a mount top sunset rendered in line drawing. Screw-top. See through red color. Smells like band-aides and sliced tart red fruits. Flavor is simple and blunt. Bit like Sangiovese meets Pinot. But the thin version of both. It’s a right for $5. Certainly one of the more obscure and exotic choices at Trader Joe’s. Just not much there.

Nose is a bit pungent, but taste is light with notes of berries and currants. Did not have it chilled but I think it would taste great a bit chilled on a summer evening.
