Reached for this bottle for a dinner of wild game after the Barolo originally selected was corked, forgot how good Brunello is...bright, lots of black fruits, juicy, leather, firm structure, just right. Will be stocking up on Brunello for the cellar.

2007 vintage, stellar year in Tuscany. It shows in almost every 07 I've had. Clear, bright, ruby in color with a garnet rim, medium concentration, medium viscosity. Nose: sound, med- intensity, vinous, over ripe black cherry and raspberry overtones with a touch of strawberry. White and red roses, barnyard and worn leather. A touch of cedar and brown sugar. Palate: dry, medium bodied, tart black cherry and blackberry fruit, leather and turned earth, wet slate, dried oregano and cedar spicy oak. Medium tannins, medium alcohol, med+ acid with a medium- finish. Medium complexity.
