I opened this in January to toast a passing friend and it is still in an excellent drinking window. This bottle from GQ shirt guy @Kirk Alexander was showing even better. Iron, earth, cherry tobacco and grainy rich tannings. Special.

This was the back-up to the Lafite. It may have benefitted from a decant but I thought it strutted from the outset. Rich dark cherry pipe tobacco, ripe and full with gobs of sweet fruit, iron, exotic spice and bruised plum. Class and substance.
