Not particularly palatable, seven years old.
Off dry, with an overabundance of bad pipe tobacco and tannic dark plum. Nose is a lot of farmhouse elements that make it come off as a pretentious brand of steak sauce.
Thirty six months in oak isn't a notable quality, for this one.

Jan 12th, 2021Purchased at Aldi 1/19 and consumed 1/19. Not bad. Needed to breathe a little for me. The notes on the back of the bottle R; we owe her is the most prestigious wine region in Spain, famous for its excellent wines. This award winning dry red wine, aged in oak for 36 months, features aromas of fresh cherries and strawberries with hints of vanilla, tobacco, and licorice. Pair with grilled red meat, roasted lamb, beef stew, and hard cheeses. Best one served at room temperature.

Feb 1st, 2019I enjoyed sipping this while watching Game of Thrones during my winter break. I liked imagining that Cersei and I were drinking together... okay maybe Tyrian instead of Cersei. Not too heavy tannins with darker red fruit and a bit of vanilla and tobacco. I didn't get much licorice like the bottle suggested. It took the wine a bit to open up, but once it did it was really smooth and lovely. Much like my winter break, I was sad when it was over.
