Actually liked this one. Very pale, light pear smell. Butter taste. barrel!

Meh: not unpleasant but trying to figure out what this wine wants to be, supposedly barrel fermented but they must have been very light w/oak because it lacked typical wood driven flavors.

Willing, eager even, to ditch my anti-oak/anti-malo partisanship for this one.

Honey and apple with dairy notes on the nose and holds up through the palate. Slight acidity brings balance. Oak holds through, but in really good balance.

Barboursville 2015 reserve Chardonnay. Full and soft. Apples and a nice rounded oak flavor.

Great Chardonnay. Flavorful and crisp without having that grassy bite. Easy to drink

Not great at wine tasting but noticed a smooth and vanilla-y taste, nice thickness to the sip I enjoyed. Maybe one of the first non-Georgian wines I really wanted to buy a bottle of! Aged in oak barrel and I could definitely taste that (and loved it).
