Orvieto Grechetto

When you wake up on a Sunday morning and it's snowing out the day before the first day of spring and you can't go back to sleep so you make some eggs that don't taste all that great and all you start to do is crave a glass of wine that's not going to hit you over the head at 9:30 a.m., this saves the day. Only 12% abv, with round fruit (although I can't quite tell you which ones) almost orange-like without the acid, despite the grassy acid and slight minty herbal on the finish. Am I making sense? Picked this up on a whim from Garagiste and for the purpose stated above, I'm quite happy with it!

Quite liked this esp at around 50F. Nice acidity and a fleshier texture than most whites of this style.

Orvieto Classico. Great white wine. Very light.

Great Orvieto. Dry, smooth, and a slight hint of fruitiness.

Bought this on a whim after @Eric Asimov posted a different wine from this winery. Really interesting. Great with vegetarian dinner with Mediterranean flavors.

Medium bodied with a bit of nuttiness. Not much fruit, but did get some cantaloupe in the nose. Very much the Italian white. I guess I'd equate it closest to a chenin blanc- maybe? Have to think about it.

Bought this while visiting Orvieto. I don't drink white wine often but was recommended this wine by a local. It is amazing. Not sour like most whites in my opinion and very smooth. I would happily buy plenty more on my next visit.

Why the hell does it say "white wine" on the label?!?

Heavy sweet grape follows fruity nose. Low tannins, neat finish. Not my kind of juice sans food and am unsure of a wise pairing.
