Top Notes For
"Odedi"

Dark ruby in color with medium intensity and a reddish rim.

Sweet nose of cherries, strawberries, raspberries, wood, light vanilla, smoke, spices, chocolates and black pepper.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with cherries, sweet cranberries, plums, oak, licorice, spices, chocolates, alcohol, light vegetables, coffee, pencil lead, earth and peppercorn.

Medium minus on the finish with medium tannins and tart raspberries.

This is a nice Merlot based blend from Israel. Not completely balanced with mild complexity. Shows a light mouthfeel with a tangy finish. A little bitter on the ending and hot at the back of the throat. Showing nice chocolate notes, but a little tart for my taste.

Easy drinking and good with food. Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up. Needs an hour to open up properly and show some tannins. Another year or two in the bottle might help balance it out.

A blend of 60% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Marselan. Aged for 12 months in French and American Oak barrels.

I paired it with a charcuterie board.

14.5% alcohol by volume.
