I was saving this wine for a special occasion but decided tonight was the night. So glad I did - it's exactly what I hoped for! Beautiful nose, full bodied and hints of licorice and blackberries. Tannins bring out a bit of that tartness but it works wonderfully.

Excellent! One of my favorite Tuscan blends! Big, dry, spicy, complex. It gives you dark fruit, licorice, and black pepper. I highly recommend it.

This is a great alternative to the brunnello. More fruit, easier to drink now and doesn't need the time in cellar. Great food wine. Was exceptional w/ the roasted tomato pasta and veal we paired with.
