Another wedding wine candidate. Better than the Placido Chainti in that it offered a little more complexity. Still soft and fruity, but the fruit was more interesting with a mix of red cherries, plums, and ripe raspberries. Definitely more tension in the finish and some spice.

Nov 29th, 2019What a yummy cab! A little sweet, a little dry, and not too pricy. Crowd pleasing wine.

This fair and lively everyday Sangiovese/Merlot (50/50) blend ws served slightly overchilled, so some surprises happened :)
Attractive cherry red, purplish rim.
First nose shows sharp smell of rotten plum on rubber stack.
Minute later substituted by ripe plums and cherries, strawberry jam, hint of underbrush. Iris, bellflower, stones...
Silky textured medium-bodied palate, well-integrated acidity, firm tannins. Wild cherry, cornel, cranberry flavors with some herbal remedies.
Medium length finish of red berries (cherry, cornel).
Versatile in terms of pairig.
