Not as red as I expected. Great hoary nitro head, though, and cake comes through strong with vanilla and chocolate just a whisper. Lacing is interstellar Milky Way magic that sticks around. A very creamy beer, but lacks cream's weight. So, spongy and moist in a way. There is iron, mineral, and I assume, hidden vitamins behind an earthy cocoa nib and barely-there-beet sumptuousness. Bitter pecan and dark grain notes are an almost welcome afterthought. In the discounted single beer bin, or I may never have tried it. Worth it if you like creamy fare. Jul 23rd, 2017I wish I had read Jeremy's review prior to buying... I experienced the exact same disappointment. Ballast Point typically makes excellent beers, but this is so bland. It's not even funky enough to be "gross", it's just boring.

The nose is delicious! Sweet, chocolate. The mouthfeel is a little watery. Tastes like "oatmeal stout light"

This is a bit old...took Delectable some time to track it down .....I can't seem to learn my lessons about shit like this. ....thin, limpid and lacking flavor is how I recall it. Was intrigued and curious from the description but LET DOWN.
