Badet Clément & Co.
Révélation Vin de Pays d'Oc Cabernet Merlot

Dark ruby in color with a wide red rim.
Fruity on the nose with cherries, vanilla, plums, blackberries, chocolate, spices and black pepper.
Smooth on the palate with blackberries, cherries, strawberries, red currants, dirt, wood, plums and peppercorn.
Medium to full bodied, with nice legs.
Medium finish with elegant, round tannins.
13% alcohol by volume.
This is a nice French blend of 55% Cabernet and 45% Merlot. Had the 2012 vintage before, and it has a nice consistency.

Great Cab-Merlot for the price. Although I wish I decanted it longer. #wine #food #travel #france

May 8th, 2016Not a bad wine for its category and price. Does a great job with grilled neats and vegetables. I would hold it for couple of years though hoping for some more development.

Very good wine. Super price. Perfect for a large gathering or as a "cellar saver" for weekday nights.

Jan 21st, 2016This is the best French wine I've tried at this price point ($6 at Trader Joe's)! Smooth, mild tannins with a medium-long finish. Full-bodied cab/merlot blend and would hold up well to roasted red meat with vegetables.

Let's be clear about 2 things. First, this is NOT Pontificis. Or anything remotely close in quality. Second, bearing that in mind, it's still under $10 and decent quality. A good middle-of-the-week pizza or burger wine. If you keep that in perspective, it works.
