Brut Crémant de Bourgogne Chardonnay

Opened this at midnight last night but was too tired to take notes. Stoppered it for today. It’s really good. Crisp, fragrant, fine bead, great acids. Minerally, a little toasty yeast note, and crisp straw-apple fruit. Hands down best Cremant de Bourgogne I’ve ever had. Happy New Year! Here’s my equation of the new year: 2018 - 45 > 2017.

Creamy texture with distinct face powder/powdered make up aromas.

Pleasant, but the alcohol is a little unbalanced today.

Clean and easy but not memorable.

Sparkling Chablis that needs a lot more time. Fine but lacking any mineral definition beyond a whiff of it on the finish. Decent structure, though, so I'll revisit in a year.

So easy to celebrate (anything) with this one. Smooth, with the ghosts of fruit and rose.

Give it time; the grape candy fades and its true character comes out. Sparkling Chablis, honest.

Decent bubbly but nothing really stood out

Tasty and easy drinking. Nice acidity with briny notes. A fine Chinese New Year wine.

Funky at first sniff. Savory/sea water and shellfish in the nose, corn tortillas on the finish. Really like this.
