2012 Vintage In search of the one wine so complete and perfect that it makes me cry. This one came close. Wonderful nose with floral and dark red fruit notes. Dark chocolate and tobacco with Old World rustic earthy flavors. Smooth finish that continues the balancing act from the nose and throughout the palette. Suckling rated it 94pts and I heartily agree

Unexpectedly delicious. Had it with puttanesca. Fruit forward, hints of licorice, nice tannins.

Red and black roses shine across a black cherry lake with a cinnamon-cedar island over which hovers a basil and raspberry mist. Medium mouthfeel, shimmering with tart cherry, frozen dark chocolate, cracked coffee bean, cherry dust, dried bing cherry and rose petal with ash, red tea, dried cranberries and the absolute scintilla of micro-tar.
