Just delicious. Ripe blackberries, cedar, black currant, and pencil shavings on the nose. The fruit remains on the palate with broad texture reminding of cooked maple syrup. Deep ruby color with light electric purple on thin rim. Alcohol is there, but offset nicely by moderate acid and lifted velvety tannin. Strong buy.

Oct 27th, 2018Love the lush gorgeous fruit and cab franc to brighten it up. They really did a great job on the blend this vintage. The 2012 was to kalon fruit so that was very complex (150 bucks retail). Hard to beat that but this kills that on a value perspective. Starting in 2013 they brought this under 100 bucks. Haven't tried the 2015 but this is my favorite vintage post-2012.

Feb 15th, 2018A bold full bodied wine with an extremely floral nose, and giant tastes of blackberries, dark plums, and espresso. Tannins are sleek and the finish is very long and tasty. Paired very well with a filet Mignon tonight. Picked the bottle up at the winery today.
