Azores Wine Company
António Macanita Arinto dos Açores
Sherried. Brisk and cutting, walnuts, minerals and yeasty notes. Tart fruit. Not entirely unlike vin claire champagne.

Jan 18th, 2022Very nice white wine from the Azores. Indigenous grape, Arinto, from the Pico area. Lots of unripe citrus peel and stone on the nose. Mouth filling and precise with excellent acid and a long finish. Expressive yet restrained. Great savory saline quality - a wine to be enjoyed over some time as it unfolds. Excellent with oysters and other seafood.
