Tatone Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

The rebranding of this wine makes it much more intriguing.

It looks like a legitimate wine, housed in a big and heavy bottle.

Maybe it’s psychological, but this doesn’t taste like it’s worth $17.

Oaky. Dark. Fruit. Dark fruit? Cigarettes.

Aromas of dark fruit and spice. Medium bodied with dark berries and a smoky finish. Good length. Paired well with grilled sausages.

Had at dinner with the whole family at Comparis on the park in Plymouth the night before my mom & dads 60th anniversary party. It was fantastic.

I don't regret going there, but I doubt I'll go back. A little bit of spice on the nose which I enjoy. Otherwise unremarkable. Not flabby, but a little more acid would be nice. Goes down a little too easily with pizza and pasta.

Fine for the price, but not spectacular value.

Medium bodied and dry with black cherry and pepper. Very Old-World. $16.

Love the spice and peppery flavour. Quality wine at a nice price.
