Nemes Barbera d'Alba Barbera

Ruby/garnet color, slightly oxidative. Licorice, mint, tar, cherry, nutmeg, dried flowers, blood orange, mulling spices. Big but linear tannins, bright and focused on the palate. Med + acid, med + complexity.

Round and juicy mouthful of dark berries. I think "plush" is a great word to describe this one.

My favorite wine of the flight. Big black cherry. Strong vanilla overtones both taste and smell.

Cherry notes dominate backed up by raspberry and vanilla. Fairly acidic at first blush and mellows favorably in the aftertaste.

Not sure if it is because I bought it at a restaurant with an amazing meal but this red delivered in every way I hoped. Dark beery and deep currant nose with a striking flavor that initially stings the sides of the tongue but immediately mellows out into a delicious aftertaste

Enjoyed at Casa Tua in Miami for Brian's 30th! Easy to drink, and went well with meal.
