De smaak is wat wrang en erg droog; veel strenge tannines. De geur is behoorlijk alcoholisch en minder fruitig. Wellicht had deze Barolo even gedecanteerd moeten worden. We vonden hem wat matig; hij viel weg tegen de andere wijnen in de proeverij. Misschien hadden we teveel van de naam verwacht.
