Showed promise, but the age overwhelmed unfortunately. Maybe could have used more air?

This was in really excellent shape, definitely had the depth and complexity, but didn’t start to really show the typical aged characteristics until being open for about an hour in the bottle without decanting.

Had some weird plastic/overripe character that didn't sit well. Good balance otherwise.

Needed more time but heck it was my birthday.
