Montefico Barbaresco Nebbiolo

Had it October 2014.
Very good. Fruity, good tannin.
Great flavour with clear balsamic which gives depth and character to the wine. Very very long

Dark Roses, bitter cocoa, hints of anise

Elegant and refined. Drinking beautifully with a short opening...this can be enjoyed now and over the next several years.

As expected to quite long to open up.
Initially harsh finish but finally tasted some flora notes and earthy tones

Earth, florals, tannins. Slightly harsh on the finish, but quite nice.

Drank on 9/21/2018; Vintage 2009. Nice attack and mid-palate, but a little flat on the finish.

In it's early youth this beauty is showing a tight facade, but is opening up and giving us a peak of its qualities after several hours in the decanter. Yet there is no denying of its inner attributes; So focused, layered and clean, convincing intensity, qualitative tannins, great fatigue and a serious length on the palate. No shanagans in the winemaking just a result of great fruit and true authenticity!
