Etna Rosso Nerello Mascalese
Etna Rosso continues to be one of my favorites for Italian wines, and this wine is no exception. Very welcoming, and easily approachable. Well worth the 30 dollar price tag.

Dec 31st, 2017Woah that's mineral. From the Eastern side of a volcano (The 10000 ft Mt Entna) that dominates the Northeast coast of Sicily. Vinryards of Nerello Mascalese can be up to 1000m above sea level, some of the highest in Europe. First time trying this grape. Not fruity. Mineral. Volcanic. Feels full bodied. Melissa got from k and L and brought home on a Saturday afternoon. Hated it. Should I be surprised? No. It grew from Ash. That's not where fruit, herbs, or spice foster.
