Colli Orientali del Friuli Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso
Kind of a bummer. Nothing special. Maybe I'd like this one more if I spent more time with it. Tasted it kind of quickly at Terroni.

Dec 12th, 2012Let this one air out for a while- I was drinking mine on day 3 and it was great. Dark plum, medium + staining, medium+ viscosity on the eye. Nose sees stewed, ripe black cherries, balsamic, maybe some tobacco. Palette sees sweet cherries, medium+ acid, good deal of tannins. This wine has some heft- both in terms of mouthfeel and tannins. The finish is medium+ with medium complexity. I really enjoyed this wine- reminded me of a mix between Docetto and Chianti- interesting enough to drink solo and the extra heft is welcome.
