Significantly richer than the Casaret Barbera by Abbona. But also very redrinkable.

I like Abbona. And so the 10th wedding anniversary dinner begins.

A house staple. Berry bouquet, tart cherry, subtle leather, just enough tannin to keep you coming back for more.

Acidic and hot on the nose. Bitter, sour cherry stem, and biting fruit on the palate. Not worth $12 more than Gran Sasso Sangiovese. The latter is actually even nicer, the price is the icing.

I’m getting better at this, could smell the wet ash/dust, and tasted/smelt the Anise /fennel (aka licorice). A decent wine and im just happy I can hit all the descriptors. There was quite a bit of sediment in the bottom - more than normal.
