It’s time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a delicious Cabernet from Napa Valley.

Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim.

Beautiful nose of blackberries, sweet plums, cooked cherries, wild flowers, cedar, licorice, cola, chocolates, vanilla, light spices and black pepper.

Full bodied and elegant, with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and very fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, dried figs, raisins, vanilla, tobacco, cedar, licorice, diet cola, chocolates, light mocha and peppercorn.

Long finish with soft tannins and tangy cherries.

This tasty 6 year old Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon, is drinking very nicely now.

Showing nice complexity with a soft mouthfeel. Elegant and fruit forward. Rich and extracted.

Good right out of the bottle, and better with airtime.

I had it a couple of years ago, and it is drinking even better now. Will continue to age nicely in the next 7 to 10 years.

Delicious to drink all by itself and good with food too. Will pair nicely with BBQ Meats.

I paired it with a Charcuterie board of meats and cheeses. Paired beautifully with the Italian salami.

A blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Aged in French oak barrels (50% new) for 21 months.

14.7% alcohol by volume.

93 points.

$110.

It's time for a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon for #FridayCabernetfix.

A pretty color of dark ruby with a wide reddish/ brick rim.

Strong fruity nose with blackberries, blueberries, cedar, cooked cherries, spices, licorice, vanilla, wild flowers, dark chocolates, pencil lead, light earth and black pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs. Soft and smooth.

Dry on the palate with cherries, sweet strawberries, blueberries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, herbs, spices, dark chocolates, tobacco and peppercorn.

Spicy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a delicious wine from Napa Valley. Elegant and interesting. Nicely balanced with a soft mouthfeel.

Showing nice complexity at this point. This Single Vineyard is good by itself or with food.

Good right out of the bottle with lots of cedar notes, which calm down after an hour of airtime. Would age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.

I paired it with meats and cheeses. Tasty and intriguing. Tangy and spicy.
