Averoldi
Notorius Gropello
Peculiar. Like nothing you’re tried before. Like some foreign whole cluster Cab Franc Gamay hybrid with some stink. Fruity and wet sock. Very metallic the way underripe unsweet sour wild berries can show.

Jul 20th, 2019First sip was tart....a bit smoother after it sat in the glass to breathe for a bit. Much better with food...we had a roast with potatoes and cooked carrots and that was a nice pairing. Sipping afterwards is again a bit too tart for me.

Feb 21st, 2018Lots of red and blue fruit with a hint of spice. There is a slight bitter finish. Decent acidity. One of the better varietal Gropello wines I have had.
