Summer, sun, beach and Vinho Verde! This was my first experience with Vinho Verde. I loved it! Litchi Fruit on the nose continued by nice floral notes. Fresh acidity along with tropical fruit flavors.

For under $10.00 this wine (2013 Aveleda Vinho Verde Portugal) is a perfect pairing for a hot summer day! I paired this Vinho Verde with baked skinless lemon chicken and kale, brussel sprouts cranberry salad...the light to med body with hints of green apple citrus notes and minerality was a match made in heaven!
